From first call to first login.
Most software projects go wrong in the gaps: between what you asked for and what got built, between the invoice and the work, between launch and whoever answers when it breaks. This page closes the gaps in writing.
The path, step by step.
Every project follows the same shape. You know where you are at every point, and you can stop at any of the first three steps having spent nothing.
The call
You describe the problem in your own words. We ask about the spreadsheet, the phone calls, the thing that breaks every Monday. If we are not the right fit, we say so on this call and point you somewhere better.
The free demo
We build a working demo of your actual tool: your workflow, your labels, real screens you can click. Not slides, not a proposal document. It arrives within 5 business days, and it costs nothing.
The fixed quote
If the demo hits, you get a written quote with a fixed price and a delivery date. Nothing changes without your written approval. If the demo misses, you owe nothing and you keep the clarity.
Weekly updates, working software
You see progress as real software in a demo environment, not status meetings. Every week you get a plain-English note: done, next, needs your eyes, budget. You course-correct early instead of discovering problems at the end.
Your accounts, your ownership
The system goes live in accounts you own: your hosting, your domain, your data. The code repository is under your ownership from the start, and it is written into the contract.
The care plan
Hosting, monitoring, security updates, and fixes for a small monthly fee. When you call, an engineer answers. Cancel with 30 days’ notice and everything is still yours, with a proper handover.
What “built properly” means.
Engineering standards, translated into things you can check. These are commitments, not marketing.
Encrypted, everywhere
Every connection to your system is encrypted. Passwords are never stored as readable text. Access is by role: staff see what staff need, admins see more, and every login is logged.
Backed up, and tested
Your data is backed up automatically every day, and we periodically restore from those backups to prove they work. A backup that has never been restored is a hope, not a backup.
Nothing counts twice
If a step accidentally runs twice, it counts once. A double-clicked payment button never charges twice. A resent invoice never posts twice. The system is built to be safe to retry.
Every step leaves a record
Who changed what, and when. When a number looks wrong, you can trace where it came from instead of arguing about whose version is right.
Boring, proven technology
We build on mature, widely used tools that any competent developer can pick up, not this month’s framework. Your system should outlive trends, and your next hire should understand it.
Payments by the book
Card and payment details go through established payment processors. We never see, store, or handle raw card numbers, and neither does your system.
How we use AI, exactly.
AI is why a small senior team can build in weeks what used to take a big team a year. Here is the honest division of labor.
What AI does
- Writes the first draft of code, fast
- Generates test cases and catches routine mistakes
- Drafts documentation as the system is built
- Searches and summarizes at a speed no human matches
What humans do
- Decide what should be built, and what should not
- Review and test everything before it ships
- Own the architecture, security, and data decisions
- Answer when you call, and fix what they built
Your documents and data are not used to train public AI models. We use business-grade AI services under agreements that exclude training on client data, or private deployments where the project calls for it. We will show you exactly where your data lives before anything is connected.
What you hold at the end.
Whether you stay on a care plan for years or leave after launch, this is yours.
- The code repository, in your account, from day one
- Every credential and admin access, in your password manager
- Documentation in plain language, kept current as we build
- A recorded walkthrough video for your next team
- A system running entirely in accounts you own
When something breaks.
Software breaks. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. What matters is what happens next.
Monday, 9:04 am. The booking page will not load.
- Usually we know first. Monitoring watches every system we run and alerts us the moment something fails, often before you notice.
- You reach a person. On a care plan, your message goes to an engineer who knows your system, not a ticket queue.
- We fix the cause, not the symptom. The fix ships, and we write down what happened and what changed so the same failure does not come back.
- Your data is safe throughout. Daily backups and safe-to-retry design mean an outage is an interruption, not a loss.
If we broke it, we fix it at our cost. That is in the guarantees, and in the contract.
